Daily Life
The Trinity School values of ambition, tenacity and integrity run through the daily life of the school. Students study a broad curriculum in Years 7, 8 and 9, following the National Curriculum for Key Stage 3. At Key Stage 4, Years 10 and 11, all students take core subjects, but also have the option to personalise their curriculum with 4 additional courses. A wide range of guidance is given to students to support them through these choices in Year 9. To ensure Trinitarians are well rounded citizens, a wide range of additional opportunities are offered to enhance and extend their learning beyond the classroom. These include a range of trips, visits and workshops on topics in school. Our Super Curriculum promotes wider study through the GEL projects. Students are also encouraged to take part in co-curricular activities, with a comprehensive range of active, academic and enterprise clubs available after school each day.

Music Tuition
The music department is at the heart of The Trinity school. We run a full range of musical ensembles and the department boasts a large classroom with 15 computers. In addition to this, we have three purpose built practice rooms for peripatetic instrumental tuition given by visiting staff from Essex Music Hub. The Hub provide a range of services from tuition in school to county Youth Orchestras to preparing students for ABRSM or Rock School examinations.
Instrumental and vocal tuition is available to all students from beginners to experienced players. Instrumental and vocal lessons are booked and paid for a term in advance.
For the 2024/2025 school year, the cost of instrumental lessons is as follows:
10 x 15-minute lessons per term (recommended for beginner level) = £91.50 per term
10 x 30-minute lessons per term = £183 per term
This is based on a total of 10 lessons taught during a term.
Lessons missed due to school exams, illness or trips cannot be made up as a matter of course. However, we will try to re-schedule lessons where possible.
In order that students make sufficient progress with their instrumental studies, they will need to practice for a minimum of 15 minutes per day. Please support your child by ensuring that regular practice is undertaken. There are also a number of extra-curricular activities which run to support and enhance your child’s learning.
